Engine back in

Engine now in and bolted to it's engine mounts. Wishbone refitment has started and the cross brace between the two rear damper top mounts has been completed. This should really help stiffen up the rear end of the car as the two dampers are tied in a lot closer now than with the original subframe.

Rear wheel arch liners have been re-fitted. Coolant header tank has been mounted to bulkhead and I am currently progressing routing various fuel and breather lines...

  1. How much extra weight will the v8 add?
Are the wheelarces painted or polished?

  2. Hi,
Engine and box together are about 160kg.
The weight is lower and more central (left to right) than any transverse configuration.
The CoG of the engine and box is slightly rearward of most transverse configurations (about inline with the rear shock top mounts)
